Hey John, is this the saddest end of January forecast streak you have had?? El nino is kicking butt eh? Last year started like this but it really cranked up about this time. Is the future bleak for us snow lovers??

Certainly ranks up there. At least we are not getting rain or a huge thaw.

The cold for next week still looks to be in the cards.

Honestly I can not remember seeing the sun in the past 2 weeks. Sure would be nice to get a strong northwest wind to clear this out of here. We need a string of cold crisp clear sky nights to firm up the snow base.

the last few nights have been mid teens and the base seems nice and firm now. Trails were awesome today.
