Came across this thread on HCS about a guy putting a Honda CBR 600-4cyl motorcycle engine/6 spd. transmission w/air shifter in a Polaris INDY 500 sled:

I put a Honda VFR 800 in a Yamaha V-max chassis.
I put a Polaris Sportsman 500 engine in an old Evolved chassis.
I have a 78 El Tigre with a stock motor/chassis running a 2001 Arctic Cat rear suspension, Polaris exhaust, Polaris primary clutch with a TEAM secondary, custom steering post, and converted to a 121" track.

I have helped build numerous old sleds including a Rupp Nitro with a 1998 Arctic Cat suspension, an early 80's Blizzard with a 1998 MXZ suspension and a 502 fan grafted in.
