ok, need some info on how frost works in the U.P.
with so much snow coming down so fast, the ground doesnt have that much time to freeze. So how does that effect things?

Thanks

Because it does get cold and frost does come early and the leaves do fall off.The snow fall from the sky and makes big piles on the ground that we have to plow yaa know. Then it snow some more then we plow some more and it does get cold yaa know so it snows some more and what do yaa really want to know?Maybe the frost goes down but not as low as yaa may think as is the state south of us.

No frozen ground here in Northern WI. I staked the driveway today for snow plowing & the ground was moist & very soft. Usually I need to brush snow away to drill holes in frozen ground then insert stakes. Not this year. So far ground warm, air warm, no snow on ground & no ice on lake....very strange start to winter. I hope it gets very cold soon as we are way behind in what needs to happen to have good trails.
