Fuel gauge on IQ does'nt work right?

Hey Guys, My 07' IQ 600 cfi gauge shows empty and has an "F" on the screen. Tank is almost full. The last few rides of the year it would go back and forth, now its still shows empty. ? Any ideas smarties ! thanks

Well if its anything like a skidoo there might be a fuse that has blown.

I don't have one but one of the guys has an 07 600 CFI Switchback and he was having the same problem. He took it to the dealer and it was an issue inside the tank with either the float and/or sensor that was causing the problem.

Look in the filler hole , if the float is on the bottom of the tank, its gas logged(full of gas)seen a couple like this. Good luck.

I have figured out the problem, thanks to swampcat the float was full of gas. I pulled the tank off to access the sending unit, pulled out the unit with float and found pin hole in corner of float. Took it to work and filled hole with 3M 2-part epoxy and going to give it a whirl. sweet

Now imagine trying to do that through the filler hole. Being a old tennacious shade tree mechanic,getting the float off the arm,sealed up,tested & reinstalled, NOW THAT WAS A HOOT. Glad you found it.

thought there was some sort of bulletin on the floats on some 06 or 07 sleds! ?

I called the dealer 2 days ago and he ran my vin # and said there was only a hose routing check to be made for my sled. So far anyway, now that I have it fixed, it works.
