2006 Apex good sleds but rear monos were soft. Most 2006 Apex onwers put on stiffer spring or shock revalve or both so ask. 2006 Handwarmers for some were not hot enough for some so upgrade kits for that too.

Yea i have heard about the hand warmers on 06 even my 09 Apex had bad warmers until i upgraded.Did not know about the rear shock problem though good to know was it a across the board problem or for guys that were a little heavy i am about 230 if that makes a difference .

If you are 230 for 2006 Apex big boy spring is what you want. Everyone that I know that has 2006 Apex revalved & stiffen spring. Really not a big deal but at 230 standard set up you will bottom out 2006 for sure. Most owners did something to stiffen 2006s so just ask. My 2007 Attak GT has standard mono set up but set to hardest spec. & I'm near 320 geared maybe a little less no bottoming. Yam widen mono spec each year so heavier riders would not bottom. Like I said really not a big deal easy to do at any dealer they know all about it & will have options for you.
