Fun resort to go to in Mi. in the summer

I have to Kids under 2 years old so it limits the places we can go. Went to Macinac Island and it was awesome. Just wanna try somewhere different. Any ideas?

It isn't in Upper Michigan, but take a look at Sunrise Lodge in Land O' Lakes. VERY family oriented and fun. Nice beach, huge lake, etc etc. Also I dont know the name of it, but there is a newer lodge resort kind of place in Eagle River. Nice place. Pretty pricey. Here in the Marquette Michigan area, I can't think of too many places like that to go with family that is a RESORT type atmosphere.

If you want to stay on a lake, Houghton Lake was many resorts right on the lake. I would recommend staying on the east or north shore. All sand and shallow for the kids. My favorite is Foughts Resort. Been going there since I was a kid. Check out the Chamber of Commerce website under lodging.

I like Beaver Creek Resort in Gaylord in the winter. Never stayed in the summer but looks like there would be stuff to do.

I'm taking my kids to the Dells this summer after The 4th. But this is my wifes idea b/c her parents took her up there allot as a kid. I personally would recommend a State Park. One of my favorites, here in IN is Brown County. (of course my parent took me here as a kid, so I may be bias) I did take my kids the first year the water park was open, and my boys (1.5 and 4.5 at the time) loved it. And I'm sure would not know the difference between the Dells or a small one slide park at that age.

My kids are now 7.5, 4.5, and the new and final addition!!! 1.5yrsold. Once they hit 3.5 the vacation become easier, the kids can do allot more.

Silver Lake Sandunes. Been going there 34 years straight. My 17 year old son was made there and he has been there every year since he was born. Got sand in our veins for sure. Lots of family stuff to do, does cost $ but what doesn't these days. If you have quads or a 4x4 you can drive on the dunes. Stock trucks do just fine with correct air pressure in tires, 12 - 14 in front and 10 - 12 in rear. You don't have to get crazy to have a blast. Michigan Adventure park is less than a hour from the dunes, Pentwater is a cool town to see as is Ludington. Here's some links.
