Fusion 700 Not running good

Just had the regulator replaced which fixed my lights twitching and my voltage meter on digital dash which would only show two bars. Now while riding steady between 40 and 50 mph it will cut out and then run clean and then again it will cut out and then run clean. It seems like someone keeps pinching the fuel line and then letting it go over and over again. Also if I'm hard on the gas and then braking fast for a turn it will backfire really loud and shoot a desent size flame from the exhaust which takes about 3-4 seconds to go out. Is this a timing issue or maybe a TPS issue? Also, just had the motor completly rebuild from dealer and only has about 115 miles on new engine.

A friend of mine just had the symtoms your talking about, his is a 4-stroke but I guess it could happen to a 2-smoke, check the fuel pressure his was only 15 lbs when it was suppose to be 39, found out the minimum wagers working on the polaris line didn't have the fuel line pushed up on the pump pipe very far and worked itself off. Only half the fuel was getting into the system, other half was spraying back into tank. Although it just started doing it he's had the sled since 2004.
