Fusion 900 Brake Light

I am having issues with the brake lights on my fusion 900, the bulbs were both good and the brakes work fine but the brake light does not come on when I hit the brakes, tail lights work just fine... not too much of a problem during the day but this is something I definitely want to figure out for the sake of others riding behind me after dark.

some models have adjustment on the switch, not sure if yours does or not. Make sure the switch is functioning correctly first(volt meter, continuity test)

You have to take the assembly apart at the pivot point of the brake lever, there should be 4 screws, look at it very closely and you will see them. It is a small micro switch inside the assembly. You may be able to check the switch if you can disconnect the wires which are under the handlebar cover.

I would guess it would be specific to the model year.

I would call a good Polaris dealer and tell them the year and model and that you need brake/stop light switch and they can look it up on the computer and tell you right away.

My favorite is Headwaters in Watersmeet

They will probably order it for you and ship it for a charge. They've done it for me before.

Good Luck

Switch - take out 4 bolts on master cyl and it snaps into the inside of one half. Not sure but the 05 maybe a 2 wire. My 06 is a one year only 3 wire switch. Most places stock them. My 3 wire was 60 bucks I think.
