FXR Boots (leaking and frustrated)

So I go to Haydays and buy a brand new pair of FXR Boots which clearly say they are waterproof on the tag attached to the boot. I wore them a total of 6 times this year and guess what the seam from the sole to the base of the boot is splitting, which causes a nice wet foot. They were fine until I went to Colorado a few days ago in the deep powder. I want to contact FXR direct and tell them of the problem. I realize everything is made overseas now, which really frustrates me even more. The quality control has to be better. Any advice on solving this problem or has anyone else tis problem. And no I did not save the receipt.

You may be SOL without the reciept , but maybe not. Good luck. Skidoo forgot my name when my doo boots leaked.

I looked their website up and it states you have to fill out a form and show proof of purchase. I believe I am SOL on this one. I never thought to keep a receipt on a boot, but the lesson is learned.

You might want to at least put out an email to them and ask about losing the receipt. I had an issue with my midland sports camera. Their warranty page said you Must send in proof of date of purchase. I wrote that did not have it, could they look up serial # to see less than 3 years old they did and exchanged camera under warranty. Of course no serial # on boots but.If the boots were new, they may have been new model that they would know they are 1 year old they may take care of you. Its worth sending an email and ask.

I bet you could at least find the charge on your credit card statement. It will be good to hear how they treat you.

Cabelas and Gander Mountain are your friends.....As soon as someone associates a product to snowmobiling, the price triples and the customer service tumbles. Unfortunately it's a "Ya pay to play" world nowadays. "If you can afford the sled, you can afford to be ripped off for all of the accessories." Seems to be the mentality.

the first thing everyone needs to learn is nothing is 100% waterproof except for rubber. if u want dry feet get muckboots/lacrosse/bogs/or any other brand that has the whole bottom half made of rubber compound material

No reason a good snow boot shouldn't keep your feet dry when riding. No need for a rubber boot. Even if you have to step in water, not like people are expecting their boots to serve as waders while fishing

I'm starting to come to this conclusion myself. I have some gloves and midlayers from Cabelas that are top-notch and much more affordable than the snow-specific ones. The gore-tex gloves I bought were $50 or half-price the day after Christmas, and I like them 10x more than both the pairs of Klim gloves I have owned. The only thing missing is the goggle scraper on the finger.

The boots have a label on them stating "waterproof" It's not like I was standing in 5 feet of water I was mountain riding in deep snow. The seam failed and I can see where the glue pulled away from the sole. That is hardly my fault.

just floors me no one is understanding the point i made i don't care what brand name of boot its is or how old or new it is or how much money you paid for it any shoe or boot with a seam on the bottom whether sewn or glued will eventually fail. that could be 5 days 5 months or 5 yrs or longer but one day your feet will get wet so why not use your head and buy a product that will never get your feet wet
