FXR boots

Good morning!
Mother in law treated me to a new pair of boots for Xmas this year! I had chosen the FXR Helium Boa boots but after trying them on they feel pretty narrow in the front foot area. Not sure if they need broken in or if my foot’s just too wide for the boot. Hate to wear them a bunch and find out they never loosen up. Considering returning them for something else. Anybody have similar experience with the FXR boot?

I wear the FXR boots and there's not a lot of give to them. I doubt if yours are going to flex or widen much so I'd go with an exchange.

Thx. I see they don’t offer a wide so I’d have to go up a size. Don’t know that I want an extra inch of dead space in front of my toes. Might have to exchange for a different brand. I’ve worn Klim for 10 years but thought I’d try something different.

Todays boots will typically compress the footbed some as we wear them but do not stretch or widen much if any.

How much space do you actually have? Don't just go off the size. I have jumped up a size in the past on boots and never noticed the difference in length. But a narrow boot would drive me nuts...

I bought my son some Fly Marker Boots with the BOA back in Aug... for $179.

Be warned shipping took a bit from this place. They don't answer phone calls either. I thought it might be a scam business but I sent an email and within 5 minutes had a reply and apology and the boots 2 days later. I think they just drop ship stuff because they are out of Texas and the boots came from the Indianapolis area.

I've been served very well with Cabela's Inferno Boa boots. Snowmobiling, hunting, ice fishing, etc. They are one size larger than my other normal boots. I wear Carhart 'Force socks with them normally, but I can wear a heavier pair of Cabela's 'Ultimax' socks comfortably. I also like to wear 'Fox River', 'Wick and Dry' thin liners when needed.
