Garage door freezing...

If you are having the same problem I was having, it wasn't the snow freezing it shut, it was heating up the garage all the time and the condensation would build up on the bottom of the seal and the next day you come out to open the door and its frozen to the ground. A little dusting of salt all aong the seal fixed it.

Salt works, but is corrosive...try wiping the rubber with oil 10w works best. Insulated garage melts snow off wheel wells and drains back to the door. Sweep the snow and water out when you open the door to go; it only takes a second and you stop the condensation from building up in the garage too. Not good for tools or cycles.

I also spray the seal with WD40 (as doomsman said) and find it works very well. Have been doing it for years and haven't had a problem. Prior to using WD40, I was having a lot of problems since moisture was collecting along the seal and freezing.
