I bought this atv new. Since day one the oil raises up slowly. It seems to be getting worse. The coolant never drops and it smells like gas so it must be gas. After all this time i have started to shut off the gas valve which might just cure it but has anyone had this issue will their sportsman. It must be a problem with most likely the needle and seat in the carb but i was also wondering about the fuel pump. Anyone had this happen and know the fix ???

Sounds like needles getting stuck in carbs. I just had this happen with a brand spanking new Ariens tractor a few weeks ago & brand new polaris snowmobile years ago. Dirt can get in during factory assembly from dirty gas tank or just dirty carbs from get go. Full gas tank drained out exhaust pipes & into crank but mine would not run just coughed & done until cleaned out. Running gas in oil all those years not a good thing for the engine. Try Seafoam in gas could fix it. Good luck!

Its the needle and seat for sure. I worked at a Polaris dealership for 7 years, i've replaced a countless number of them.
