Does anyone know if there is gas in Republic? We want to shoot out there from Iron River....any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you everyone.....DK

Maki had gas 2 yrs ago, but only regular......
if not, closest would be 15 mi north of Republic on trail 5, in Champion, Koski Korners,
or south in Sagola

Maki fuel pumps were closed last year when I was there in Feb. There IS gas in Republic, but it's about 3 miles off the trail at Peter's True Value on Evergreen St.
Silver Lake Resort (5 miles north of Channing) should be open this winter, however it's also a few miles off the trail system. It should be ethanol-free, given past history.
