gel battery

I asked the question a month or more ago about gel batteries whether they were worth the extra money or not and some of you kinda pushed me towards it. Long story short I bought one put it in my 02 Viper and its fantastic. I've never had a sled crank with this kind of power before even after a long night of sitting out in the cold--it kicks some major butt. I ended up buying this battery for cheaper than the acid/lead plate battery too. Where I live we have both a Autozone and Advance Auto, I priced it at A-zone for 85.99 then called Advance and they quoted me 52.99 over the phone so I went to A-zone asked them to price match, got it for 52.99, also It was my fifth purchase of 20.00 or more so I recieved a 20.00 in store credit which I used right then and there for a total of 36.69. I will never put anything but a gel in any of our toys again. Thanks to the people that pointed me in the right direction

One of the advantages of the gel cell is their ability to withstand the pounding they are given on the trails. That is all I ever use now in my jet ski`s as well

Thanks for the report. The first time the bat in my Apex so much as farts it will be replaced with a gel.
