the Mod II Helmet cleared my foggy glasses but they don't come cheap and they take awhile to get used to. It probably took me 2 or 3 rides before I had mine adjusted properly and was comfortable with operation.

I always had that problem which bugged the crap out me and when it got real cold I would get frost on the glasses when keeping the shield up.

Al that was solved by going to a modular and I will never go back.

Skidoo Modular Helmet. Works great. Bought one 2 years ago Ecklunds in Oshkosh they are usually about 1/2 price of any other dealer or online. Found a guy that makes a reusable mositure piece for the helmet so you can dry it out. very absorbant material. drys overnight.

The helmet does take some getting used to though.

try an open face helmet w/ Pro Vue (prescription) goggles

EXACTLY ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I used to ride with a closed faced helmet & glasses/contacts and dealt with the hassle

Been riding with a Motocross style helmet & PRO-VUE goggles for last 11+ years

The PRO-VUE's come with a nice rubber/felt like wind deflector that protects your nose, and a snap on color lens that goes over the front of the goggles. I prefer the blue tint for sunny days, and pop 'em off at sundown.

Call 'em up with your eye glass prescription, and they'll build goggles of your choice (SMITH, SCOTT, numerous colors in stock) and have them on your door step in a week or so.

Would NEVER go back to a closed face helmet

Rode in -20 and no frostbite as others would have you believe

Modular helmet works wonders woth glasses. I also use the Purple Stuff. it is an antifog spray that works very well. I still occassionally fog from overheating and eventually went to contacts. I do not like them but it has made my riding more bearable. Going out West there can be alot of slow and technical riding and I could not afford to fog. Now I put up with contacts just for snowmobiling. Fair trade off...

Modular 2 Helmet is the ticket. took the wife on a trip last year and made her a believer on day two and she took mine for the next couple of days. We got home and got another one for her. I will not ride without it.

Went through all that, but went in for Lasik correction 10 years ago. My vision is still perfect, and I believe it has saved me more money than it cost in not having to buy glasses, prescription goggles, contacts, solutions, etc.

I do however agree that the Modular 2 helmet is great. But I could not get comfortable with the fighter pilot rubber nose and mouthpiece. So, I got the electric shield and I can use the helmet now with no breath deflecter at all.

BRP Modular Helmet & use Fog Zero paste on glasses ,use snot mop insert & don't cover your mouth get good seal & glasses will not fog. Worked great for me last year & I highly recomend Fog Zero others used it too after I tried different formulas for comparos & we all had good results with Fog Zero. That thread might still be in here don't know? I hope this helps fogging in no fun at all.

Back when I wore them, I used some ivory dish soap on the glass, on both sides and this pretty much takes the fogging away under most conditions.

A good modular helmet which you can crack open is still a good way to go (wear sunglasses now) and this keep the moisture from building up inside the helmet with NO breath deflector at all. Mods are also nice because you can flip them up when you are riding slower or stopped without having to take the whole helmet off.

Try the soap thing...it will even keep your mirror in the bath from fogging up too.

Back when I was a kid, XX something years ago, we used to cut a raw potato and wipe it on the shield. Don't know why it worked but it did.

I use pro vues/moto x helmet when above 15 degrees - modular helmet below 15. If you get the mouth seal right on the modular you will not have any issues. It works so well I barely need to open my shield when I stop...

from old timer...

back in the day... cut a piece of anesthesia tubing... like a snorkle, ran it out the backof my helmet, but ended each trail day with a frozen spit berg on my right shoulder ...

when started x-country racing went to provue prescription googles with the built in fan, handled every condition except face plants..

After lasix surgery kept the racing helmet and googles and neoprene fog delfector to keep beard from freezing...

on 18 below days still get frost bite spots, but its a great way to tighten up the crows feet!!!! yes.. if you are lucky you will all get old enuff to get them!!!!
