Has anyone tried the new GMAX Gm54s modular helmet? If so how did it work and how was it to use. Did the sun shield work without fogging?

my brother just bought one and we rode one night this week, when we got back home he was saying how he wishes he would have spent more money and got a mod 2 or bvs 2. He did buy his with the heated shield, but was trying it without plugging it in, and he was having some problems with snow dust on the shield. If you buy it with the heated shield it shouldn't be a problem, but like he was saying it gets to be a pain relying on the shield and cord working properly especially with the new helmets these days that dont require a heated shield. I will have to agree i tried everything in last several years, did not like goggles, liked heated shields and never had problems, but get a year or two out of one and spend money on another shield, now I have a modular 2 and have no problems at all

I have both the mod2 and the gmax...... the mod2 is a nicer helmet but the gmax worked just fine didn't fog on the clear shield once i got the breath block positioned. the shade shield kept fogging up I couldn't use it.

The dealer did not have one so I had one orderd for me. Went to the next dealer of the day and they had one. Did not like it at all. It did not fit around my ears the way i like it, The breath deflector hit the front of the helmet and screwed it up every time. Plus if I breathed hard my glasses would fog up. That was enought for me. off to the first dealer and changed my order. Went with the 44 gmax.

Gmax 44 will give you the same issues with your glasses. I just got a Fog eVader breath deflector to use with mine. Have not ridden with it yet, but just trying it on I think it should work. It fits tighter around your nose than the deflector in the helmet does. Ordered mine right from R U Outside website, found it cheaper at Kenssports.com after I already received mine.

Thanks for the input. I have a friend that sells them so I think I will give it a try. I liked my old yamaha vforce helmet but I haven't found one that fits my fat head the way I like so I am just going to buy one and deal with it (thats what my wife tells me;). I have heard good things about the Fog evader it sounds like a good deal.
