I know I just bought a GMax Modular as a spare so I'll let you know what the rider that uses it thinks. I'm not sure what model it is but it has a sun visor on it. I use the Modular 2 and won't change. I may buy a snow cross helmet though sometime.

My wife has had a GMax mod helmet for three or four years and likes it. I had another brand mod helmet that I couldn't stand, so I also got a GMax mod at the beginning of last year and I also like it. We both have the electric shields on ours. IMO, good value for the price.

Hmmm, sorry, mine is the 54s mod. Anyway my wife doesn't like stuff on her face, she feels smothered. But she can wear the GMax without a problem.
ps, mine also has the flip down sun shield.

Mine must be the 54s. They did have some other version that was about $20 cheaper that didn't have a sun visor. I wonder what that was. I'll check when I get home. I got mine from Jag Motorsports in Maumee Ohio at the Novi Snow Show.

Yes I guess. It depends how tight you have the screws set as to how hard it is to move it up and down. I had it snap down once and scare the **** out of me at ludacris speed. But when I tightened the screws it solved the problem and never happened again. Like I said, we like them, and you don't get the snotty slim all over your face.

We got both of ours at the Milwaukee snow show.:)
And I double checked, mine is definitely a 44s model. Must be an old number, but its a modular with the sun shield. And I also added the electric shield.

is your sunshade on the outside of the other shield? or is it biult in.we look at gmax that had the sunshade outside the helmet i would think it would ice up??

Its on the outside. Mine never iced up but I only used it on sunny days.

My wife and I each have 1, never have had a fogging issue with the electric shield on it, no need to have a breathe deflector.

Had the same thing happen to me with my GMax. Damn near wet myself. I need to take your advice and tighten the screws some.

The wife and I got new Gmax 54s at the Milwaukee show this year. They looked like a pretty good set up. She got the Pink Ribbon Rider model where some of the money goes for breast cancer. I picked up a red graphic one. Can't wait to try them out.
