How about bat cave?? Chitown when you coming?? We are heading up there the 9th through the 14th. Maybe meet up for a cocktail??

A couple of routes that we like to take when in the area...which will be in 2 weeks!!!

Head up 102 to South Boundary road (trail #11). Take that up to the big lake and turn left of #1 which takes you up to Lake of Clounds (LOC). From there, take 1 thru Silver City and down to White Pine for lunch at the Konteka. We tend to rip the same way home except taking 11 all the way down to trail #2 in Wakefield. Stopping at Bingo's for a soda, then trail 8 to the Hoop before capping the night at Fishtales on west side of Lake Gogebic right off trail #1 for their friday night fish fry.

The next day we make a run up #13 thru Rockland, up towards/past Twin Lakes and even to the big bridge. Make the Freda loop (not sure of the trail #1) and then either grab lunch/dinner at the Parkview in Twin Lakes or Henry's back in Rockland. On the way home, stop at the Bergland Bay Bar before taking trail #13 south towards the root and back to the cabin on the Lake.

Last day might be a run up towards Ontonagon, back down trail #3 to Bond Falls, etc...

This of course is all snow conditions pending...Let's go LES!!!!

team kilt is just a secondary screen name for someone im quite sure. Seems some folks like to have more than one screen name. One to cause trouble the other to be normal

I agree more snow and riding we will go. Heck we should be out riding instead of typing. I think a ride is in my immediate future.

Let's all take a deep breath and inhale some cold air and maybe even a flake or two.

12-17 for me. the bond falls are some whare around 2 and like 107. it's been a while since i've been there. when you go to lake of the clouds there is a out house on the lake side. oppisite of that is a drainage culvert. bring a flash light. there is one more falls i've been to and it was -20 so it was frozen at the time. it used to be at 11 and south boundry road but 11 has changed so many times and i was only up there twice in the last 2 years. but i think it is whare south boundry starts on the w side.

Waterfalls

The waterfalls are great there are 2 that are very easy to get too

Bond Falls- take trail 8 out of Bergland east to trail 3 towards Watersmeet go south you will come to a stop sign on Bond Falls Rd. and the trail will go right - you go left and follow the road to the falls you will come to an entrance with a gate first you can get down there or pass that up and go futher and you will come to the dam and a walking path at the top of Bond Falls. It is beautiful in the winter

The other is

KakabikaFalls - take trail 13 on the east side of Lake Gogebic south towards trail 2 very close to trail 2 you will come to a stop sign at the County Rd 527 (you will see it on the map)take a left on the 527 it will be only a mile or so and there will be a parking spot on the left and a bridge ahead pull in the parking and walk the trail it winds way back down the path its awesome my favorite

Pictures 1 & 2 are Kakabika and 3 is the top of Bond Falls
