Good sports bars in keewanaw or central u.p. With lodging nearby.

Hello i couldnt gwt up there last year and was wondering if anything has changed. Im going up there in feb and plan to watch the superbowl. Does anyone know of any bars that have some good tv with some lodging closebh so i dont have to risk the law gettin me. I know hancock has the ramada, ischpeming has bar tucked back behind a hotel dont know the name. Also bergland bay bar but the only downside is that its a long walk and i risked driving one year and got busted but was lucky cause i was in the lodge parking lot. Definately wont do that again. Any other ideas guys?

Boarders (formerly Comfort Inn) in Wetmore.......several tvs right in in-house pub (1/2 Pint Pub).......usually a get together of some kind for Super Bowl.........if you can put up with a bunch of Yamaha guys (TotallYamaha usually has a shindig there that weekend).

All in the Keweenaw: Goal Post in Hancock, Bleachers in Hancock, Perhaps Downtowner &/or Ambassador in Houghton, Loading Zone in Lake Linden, though closest decent lodging would be in Houghton Hancock or Calumet. Not too familiar with who does what in Calumet as far as Super Bowl though. Best I can come up with right off the cuff.-Mezz

I'm super impartial to the Buckhorn resort in Munising.. lodging and bar right on site. Not a large place, but they'll have the game on the TV, and the beer is ice cold. Foggys as mentioned above in Christmas is a great option too. Good bar atmosphere and White Pine Lodge is directly across the road. Casino also shares the same parking lot. All within a short stumble :)

Downtowner "DT" in Houghton was nice TV's and the game will be on, Ambo doesn't have any TV's, Ramada will have the game on in Hancock, Bill's B&B also has decent TV's and will have the game on in Houghton, Rockhouse/Mine Shaft also has a lot of TV's in Houghton.

We watched the Super Bowl last year at the VFW in South Range I think it was. Free food, generous drinks and a great crowd. We had an unexpectedly good time!
