GoPro Helmet cam

I ran the GO PRO Hero HD last winter. It works great and held up to everything we could through at it. We have used it for snowmobiling, wake boarding, hunting and even as a helmet cam in a school bus race. The case is waterproof but does not float. I have seen it being used for many other activities. The guys on mythbusters mounted it to a 12 gauge and it held up to that. My brother is now using it in Afghanistan as part of his deployment. All in all it is an awesome camera. Battery life at top HD setting gives you about 2 hours of constant usage.

Thanks for the feedback, exactly what I wanted to hear!

Did you have to purchase some sort of video editing software?

Nope if you just want to open the movie and watch it is can be opened on any computer and can be connected to your tv and played. If you want to edit it and add music and stuff you will need some kind of software to do that. I use I-Movie that I have on my Mac and it allows me to add music, pics, titles, and edit all the bad stuff out.

I have the HD as well. Used all last season and it worked great. Once you set it up and understand the icons it is very easy to use. Sound is good as well. You will get some wind noise above 60 mph, but below that it was not an issue for me. It is fun to watch the videos from the day back at the cabin at night.

Yep! GO PRO!

I bought one last year and it held nicely and the pictures and video are awesome, I wouldn't use anything else! The protective housing is great and holds up nicely to tree branches! GO PRO!
