All - Looking to purchase a GPS unit for my sled. Obviously want the best without spending an exorbitant amount of cash. Ideas on what to purchase that not only has some bells and whistles, but also a great price?

Thanks!

I have a Garmin 60CSx for sale in the parts and accessories section. $275 with a windshield mount and Western Great Lakes TOPO micro SDcard.

Search this site or hardcore sledder or totallyamaha...lots of info out there.

I personally bought the garmin 60 csx but haven't used it on the sled yet...

You can download them. There have been several discussions about that here but I haven't done it with mine.

It is not a trail map card but it does have all forest roads on it. The detail is awesome. If you want actual trails, you will have to download them. I ride mostly off trail so I think it would be perfect for that. I just know most of the areas we ride in my head so I really don't need a GPS. That's why I'm selling it. See my link in the parts thread for all info about this unit and pics. If you want actual pics of this one, I can post them later. Dave

This will acutally be for my father. He feels more comfortable with it in his cars as well. I am like you, have the trails in my head, but if he makes a trip with his friends, he does not have that knowledge.

I would not need the card...I would just pick up the greatlakes sled map upgrade.

If you could post a pic with all the goodies and the box, that would be great. This would be a gift for Christmas. So I am not sure about buying a used vs a new with the warranty...

Thanks
