So, like it says, I'm now in search of a good GPS that'll be OK in the elements on the cycle. We have a couple of Garmin Nuvis that we like, but they're in the vehicles and I doubt if they can withstand the elements of rain, cold...etc.... What works for you? The Garmin site doesn't d oa very good job of mentioning weatherproof or not

I use my nuive... and throw a ziplock bag over it. So far it has worked fine. Course I don't run in rain intentionally either.

Just found a good garmin handle bar mount generic off ebay and a cig attachment to hook to the battery and it has been a great setup....rest of the time the GPS sits in my car or truck.

I've had a Garmin Zumo 450 for 3 years. It's waterproof and I can vouch for it. I use it on the motorcycle, the sled and my truck. It's been bouncing on the sled for about 6,000 miles in every imaginable weather condition and never misses a beat. It's kinda expensive, though. I think they no longer make the 450, but if you check out Garmin's website you'll find newer versions.

I just decided to go with a NUVI 1450 that I'll use in the truck and on the bike. I'll just do what I can to keep it out of the rain. Might buy some sort of cover for it.
