We're riding in Wyoming later this month. We will be riding with a guide 1/2 the days we will be there, but I have a garmin 60 csx and like to us it while riding. What do you use for maps out there? Buy the topo maps or just use the basemap? Will the following work (I saw it on clearance at cabelas):

I bought the topo one for Wy, MT, and Idaho. I have the same gps you do. I thought the topo maps rocked.

It looks like the topo map on sale is for Alaska only. :(

Looks like I'm going to have to go to Alaska then! That must be why it was $9.

The free maps have the same resolution, 1:24000 scale. The basecamp program is used to save, upload routes and waypoints. It will be also be used to install the free topo maps on your gps.

I think I used the 2nd one up from the bottom of the list. When you use the base camp program to upload the topo map to your gps you have to select wich part of map to upload, just part of it or the whole thing.

Thanks - that one was the "editor's choice" also. I will give it a shot.
