Grand Marais Mn lodging recommendations

I would recommend Devil Track Resort. It's 8 miles northwest of Grand Marais, very sled friendly.

We always stay @ Hungry Jacks, straight up the gunflint from there you can rock the gunflint, the swamper, (always forget trail that goes to grand portage name) but that one's nice to. Plenty of snow up there this yr. Iv'e never stayed @ gunflint but here it's nice. Be sure to post back some pics. where ever you wind up. Love that whole area. Oh yeah great bar also.

I will second that, "The Hungry Jack", its a great place. Best food in the area and a very nice BAR! The riding up in that area is great to. I would say that is the best area in MN to ride. Always one of my stops when riding up there! Hey...watch out for the MOOSE! Ran up the back side of two bulls walking down the trails one yr, scariest thing I have ever been through on a sled. Good thing they took off, and a big plus, I dont think either one got hurt in the situation.

I have never ridden in the area but have stayed in Grand Marais a couple of times, I don't remember the motels but there were snowmobilers at them. I did have a lot of fun at a pizza place and pub called Sven and Ole's though.
