Well guys and gals we have excellent news!!!! The Pit Stop has officially SOLD!! Even better they are snowmobile enthusiasts. They are from Twin Lakes and some of you may even know Val. She has worked at both the Parkview and Mosquito Inn. Her partner is Jerry Johnson. I will work on getting them to post and advertise on John Dee. So please stop by and say hi to them when you're in the area snowmobiling!!

Always enjoy stopping at the pit stop. That building sure has seen a lot of rolls over the years. Didn't it start as a subway store??

Yay! That is great news. Please make sure they receive instructions on how to make the pizzas the same as before because they were good.

That's great news for us sledders and for you too Kip! Congrats! We all need to support them as much as we can if we want them to stay around.

Thanks guys! It actually started out as a C-store in 1990 and then after it closed we did put Subway in. You know the rest of the story from there. Thanks to all for the support and we're very happy to have it available by winter so as Todd puts in we can send people over there while we get their service done!! It takes time to get things done in the lovely state of Michigan so they are hoping to be serving food soon while waiting for the liquor license to come through. We have a ways to but at least the food should be good to go by the time the white gold falls:)

Didn't even know it was for sale. What happened to the previous owner as I thought he was doing well and was apart of the snowmo club up der?

He was doing well:) They wanted to go a different direction. Jim is still very involved with the community, he's simply doing something different now. It was never advertised. People just reached out to us and that's how we struck a deal with Val and Jerry.

Good to hear. Love that part of the country. Anyone remember the family that ran the Ski-Doo shop around Greenland? Had a blowup on a new sled and the boys worked late into the evening to bring it back to life. Best tip I ever handed a man. For their hard labors, I got to ride for 11 more days without incident. This is what makes U.P. riding a complete experience.

Dang, I guess that means you won't take the offer from John, Paul and me to trade for "recreation equipment"....

Great to hear though. From what I heard from other new bar purchasers in MI it could take a while for that liquor license to come through. Hopefully that won't be an issue for them this season.

very good news, I cannot imagine how it would stink without a place like that around!
