Because of logging, the 13 loop between Greenland and Twin Lakes will be closed to through traffic. You can enter the trail on either end if you like but will have to back track back out. Logging operations on the trail prevents through traffic. Hopefully the trail will allow through traffic later in the season but we will keep you guys posted.

Thanks for the info Lenny, but that is a bummer! One of my favorite trails up there. :(

It's probably my favorite trail ever. A great mix of straight aways, and corners.

Which side do I need to utilize to get to the gate. I assume from the Twin lakes side if my memory hasn't failed me. Always like to get to the lake.

You can go in from Twin Lakes to Sleepy River Bridge OR you can go in from Greenland about 8-9 miles (to the Kangas farm). It's in between that its closed down but trying to work something out. The company closed it down to us because of a snowmobile hitting one of their logging trucks (somewhere else) couple years ago and the family sued. Our club just learned of this 3 days ago-if we'd have known before this we could have done a reroute somehow-Have to break through a different way. It's been a favorite trail to many.

Thanks Sandy. So, a family sued, boy, that just gets my blood boiling.

No kidding eh? Sled hit's logging truck and of course it's the trucks fault! Jesus H. we're lucky ALL the timber co's don't get together and close off all trails "just in case".

I hate how sue happy America has become......but make sure you know both sides of the story before passing judgement. If the boy is at fault and being reckless, shame on him and the family, but if its the other way round, then the boy is due process.

I work for a company that denies everything regardless if their wrong or right and rather drag you thru the process.

Well, that just takes all the fun right out of that trail...
