Wondering if anyone else ran into the beater running down trail 3 on Tuesday. I've seen cars, trucks, and some questionable vehicles on the trail over the years.
This one was notable for a couple reasons. . . It wasn't stuck. (First one I've seen that was still moving) It was on the trail for quite a distance.
They were headed east near the old Dan's Polaris intersection when we met. The tracks were on the trail all the way to South Range with a slight jog onto the road at Atlantic Mine? (Still trying to figure out how they got on the road and then headed back onto the trail.) Just wondering who else ran across this one and maybe know if the G.G. made it all the way to the Old Mill Road intersection? Going down that hill would have been kinda crazy.
It was probably more surprise than anything to realize the double headlights approaching were from a car vs. SxS or groomer. Didn't look too close at the driver as we passed. Afterward, also thought it may be interesting to turn back and see if they made it that intersection.
There were other sleds on the trail at the time. Even saw some pass the car way off in the distance as it approached.
