Happy Fathers Day to all my fellow sledheads. Especially to my dad, hamburgchf, who is partially responsible for the man I am today. He is responsible for my love of snowmobiling and everything sled related. I am involved with snowmobiling like I am today because of my dad. I also know how to work because of my dad.

I have been envolved with snowmobiling my entire life, 43 years, and I can't think of anyone who defines a snowmobiler more than my dad. I do what I do for snowmobiling today because of my dad.

Good stuff JR. My dad has been gone for a number of years now but I’m still reaping the benefits of his guidance.

I grew up on a farm and my dad was kind of a “scrapper” so we had a lot of scrap metal, old lawn mowers, non-running cars, tractors, etc. As a result I always had projects going, even at an early age. He would help me on some but on others he would allow me to have to deal with failure and adapt. One of the most important life lessons I’ve learned.

Get to watch my 16 yr. old granddaughter play hockey today. Can’t think of a better way to spend Father’s day.

This is what it's all About

I had the good fortune to spend a large part of the weekend with my daughter. She bought her first house last fall and we cut down an old tree and planted a new one in it's place on Friday. Landscaping and Fix It Projects on Saturday. Today...this Dad is Done. We're taking the boat out for the first time today, Rib Eyes on the grill tonight then a beverage or two in my Easy Chair after dinner. Life is Good!
