I want to wish all the members of the John Dee family a Happy Thanksgiving. If you're traveling for the holiday, make it a safe one. Our parents are gone now but still many memories of Mom in the kitchen, Dad asleep in the chair and the Lions and Cowboys on TV. We'll be staying in town this year spending the day with longtime friends for Turkey and Football. After that I can assure you that Black Friday will not find me anywhere near a Walmart or Mall of any sort. Not gonna happen!
A couple of traditions that have developed over the years; sometime this weekend we'll watch the movie Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Also I'll start pulling out the Christmas decorations. We have two trees in the house and the usual stuff outside, nothing like the Clark Griswolds but enough to keep me busy before going back to work on Monday.
I am Thankful for it all, good health, family and friends and a warm home to come home to at the end of the day. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
