does anyone know where the trail starts out of harrison heading north to houghton lake ? i can't seem to find a detailed map of this trail ?

I know from where my cabin is on mostetler rd, I go across old 27 heading west on mostetler to the high school and from there you pretty much follow the beaten path but you have to start behind the high school because all north of there is city streets the trail that goes behind the high scool is NOT posted you just have to follow others and it will bring you right into the tail head I wanna say its trail 6. There is a trail head on the northside of harrison I cant tell you the name of the road its on but its about 10 miles north west of the airport. sorry I cant be more precise, I just know from getting on and riding and I dont think I have ever owned a harrison/leota trail map, I know its and AWSOME ride from harrison to houghton probably one of the best rides I have ever been on cant tell you mileage or how long because we messed around on the Lake for most o the day in houghton!...HAPPY TRAILS hope this helps a little bit.

harrison trailhead

there is a trailhead at the north end of town on Harrison Ave. north of Stockwell Rd.

Go north out of town on N. Clare Ave to Stockwell, then west to Harrison Ave. then north to the trailhead, we've got about 6-7 inches of snow right now.

Snow Monkeys stompin grounds for sure !! Harrison road will be exactly 2 miles from old 27/clare ave there will be a sign turn right on Harrison Rd. going north and the launch will come up on your right, Harrison road will turn into a two track so you can't miss it. If that launch is to busy go back to Stockwell make a right,(headed west) and keep going 2 more miles you will hit Old State. Make a right go north till Old State ends, stay on pavement on Old State it will wind and weave till it ends, you will end up at Muskegon rd. turn right,(east) and go about 2 miles there will be another launch on the left, usually not as busy. That is the Jonesville bridge orv area.
