We're going to head up Saturday for a ride. It sounds like it's typical early season riding which means a lot of mud/water. The rail beds should be OK but it sounded like trail 13 from Twin Lakes to Greenland is a mess as I'm sure is the case on the Freeda Loop. They're supposed to get some more snow this week and it's supposed to get cold so conditions should improve daily. I've seen it go from poor to excellent within 1 week up there so who knows, it could be mid-January conditions by the weekend.
Also, with the lift bridge remaining up, it's going to keep the majority of the traffic to the south of Houghton.
