Hayward/Cable area reasonable lodging

Hoping to head to the Hayward/Cable area over the coming holiday. we need three beds - singles are fine. Any recommendations for reasonable lodging in the area from Hayward and nearby lakes to Cable to Clam lake? Keep in mind we need three beds. If we have to get two rooms we can but that ups the price. Doesn't have to be anything special just clean and enough room for us. Thanks!

we usually stay at casino because sometimes bad snow conditions in town.you can head in any direction from there!

flat creek in Hayward has the trail going right behind it. pool, hot tub, restaurant. Aside from this the possibilities are endless for lodging in that area. Keep in mind lakes might not be sled ready by then....

Hayward is a tough place to ride early season if the lakes arent frozen. It seems like you have to cross a lake to get almost anywhere. So like others have said pay close attention to lake conditions.

I will also second LCO casino. It has great parking, trail location isnt too bad, rooms are good, gas station in the parking lot, nice bar. I dont care for the food in the restaurant but there is plenty of other options close by.

I would recommend staying out of town, wherever you stay. The trail through town can really suck some times.

Definitely stay away from town, its not like Minocqua. Deerfoot and the Casino are good spots. I like Deerfoot since its on the flowage, obviously must be frozen, but you can shoot straight North to Cable and Clam Lake very easily.
