This week groomers will be back out cleaning up from the weekend! The trails are still sitting good with some rocky areas particularly in the corners where heavy traffic rides. Our groomers are great at seeing this and doing what they can from stopping and picking any large rocks off of the trails as much as possible as well as pulling in snow from the sides and intersections to fill. They will work on that this week. Again, if you would like to help our trails and see a big rock if you could throw that off we really appreciate! It’s much easier and quicker for us to hop off a sled to toss a rock then a groomer to climb in and out of a large machine.
Today our high is sitting at -1, it's hard to say a "high" is a "negative" but the rest of the week the day temps bring low 20's and night in the teens. Snow is in the forecast, 70% chance on Friday of 3-5" in the day and 1-3" in the evening. That once again would be wonderful and push our weekend riding to excellent! Stay tuned for that update!
Also, please ride lakes with caution. Stay on staked trail as much as possible, if you have to go off please watch for sticks, stumps, heaves, open water, tip ups, etc. The Chippewa Flowage does adjust their water levels in the fall, so what may not be above water in the summer can be in the winter i.e. sand bars, stumps, etc. Keep your eyes peeled!
