Heated shield/Visor Can you make your own?

Is it possible to make your own heated visor and where would you get the parts to do it? I remember in the old days that you could make your own rear window defogger for any car or truck.

Back in the 90's you could get a kit to add to your visor. I bought one and to tell you the truth, it sucked. It was a stick on element and it really was hard to get it to stick and you could not get it to bend around to come back across the shield. Don't waste your money. My 2 cents.
