Hecklers Hill

I am heading up to Lake Namekagon next weekend for Birkie weekend(To do some snowmobiling). I am wondering if anyone can tell me how to get to Hecklers Hill, or where it is. Also what time do we have to get there to see the first snow fairies fall down.
Thanks

Hecklers Hill is on Trail #77 just about a quarter mile north of Cty. OO. If you are comming down from the Namakogen take trail 8 to 77 then follow it until it crosses the Birkie trail. The skiers start comming to that point in the event about 9:00 in the morning. The first to come are the experts and they just go right through, the real action starts when the less experienced skiers get to that point. You'll see some great crashes, people stand at the bottom and even hold up numbered cards to score the falls. I haven't been there for a couple years but it's a lot of fun with constant action once the main pack of skiers starts about 7800 skiers are signed up to run the race.

Thanks

Thanks for the info. They must close down the snowmobile trail where it crosses the Birkie right? How do you get across then?

There is usually a cop on a sled making sure the sleds dont interupt the race. the trail is open although it can be tough to cross with all the skiers.there is alot of people there. Im planning on going up maybee il see u there
