Help on 99 RMK

My friend has a 99 RMK 500 and the right cylinder leans out and burns up. It has done this twice now. Someone told him it could be with the ACCS and that can be removed? Does anyone else know what could be causing this? If anyone has had this problem or can help out I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks, Jonathan

It sounds like it could be several things, need more info. What does the other plug look like after plug tuning for proper carb adjustment? How different are the plug colors, from cylinder to cylinder? It could be an air leak somewhere, letting only one cylinder get lean and burn up, check your carb boots, and also spray ether around the crank seals to see if the idle changes. It could be that your carbs are way off of synched, and one's really lean. More info seems necessary.

If carbs are clean, I would suspect carb boots (easy to check) or the mag side crank seal. (hard to check).
