80 emergency trail signs stolen, vandalized; law enforcement requests support to replace them
Law enforcement aims to replace the signs with tougher, aluminum ones.
HELP US SAVE LIVES ON KEWEENAW TRAILS

Please take a moment to read and share!

A few years ago, we built an emergency sign system across our snowmobile and ATV trails in Keweenaw County. These signs—placed every half mile—allow our 911 dispatchers, Keweenaw Search and Rescue, local fire departments, and our Sheriff’s Office to locate injured or lost riders FAST.
Now, over 80 of those signs have been stolen or destroyed. Without them, response times go up—and lives are at risk.
We’re raising funds to replace the damaged plastic signs with a more durable aluminum sign that will stand the test of time. This is a 100% community-driven project—just like the first time.

Every dollar goes directly toward materials, installation, and improving trail safety.
Even if you can’t donate, a share means everything.
Let’s come together again—for our riders, our rescuers, and our community.
