Help understanding the forecast graphics please

Looking at the maps I'm seeing the potential for the "Yellow" 24" falling over the next few days with next Wed. appearing to be the heaviest day total wise. So are the maps telling me there is a possibility to have 24" by say Wed. of next week and then the 5-10 day maps are calling for another 12-24" on top of the 24" in the 1-4 day? So by next weekend there is potential to have 3-4' of new snow having fallen? This is where my little brain is getting confused sorry.

If the high end totals were realized in all of the time frames forecasted for, then yes, there could be 3-4' feet of new snow, but if the low end totals are met, then closer to 24".
