Just got back from midweek in Bergland. The lake; hug the west shore and north shores. Large hard drifts from high winds on Tuesday. All great from Bergland east to Bruce and south to Watersmeet. West back on 2 , north on 13 good also. Bergland north to Houghton fantastic. If you are going to take 8 west travel north shore of lake and jump off at Hoop. There is a brutal construction detour on 8 east on north side of lake. Bessemer was a little choppy due to groomer issues. In Wisconsin Hurley, Mercer. P. Isle north all good also. Not much farther south things get a little thin. I am sure trails will have a little chop later each day. Be safe as there will be tons of traffic this weekend.
