My wife and I pretty much have given up on "big" racing as we believe it is to commercial now. We now spend our time going to grass-root local tracks altho we did go to the Nationwide at Elkhart Lake last year but more for nostalgia. This coming w/e we are heading to the "burndown at sundown" at Rt66 which that should be fun and hopefully more local tracks over the summer. So with all the events that can be attended to locally and my w/e geocaching runs I no longer have 3-4hours to watch "commercialized racing".

I guess I am also a recovering addict. I don't follow NASCAR nearly as much as I use to. But, I do follow enough to know that Busch should get a beating like that every week, until someone finally beats the "punk" out of him. I know he is a good driver, he just lacks maturity in a big way.

If Dale Earnhardt Sr was still with us there would be a different tune to this sport . First of all he would of taken care of Kyle the INTIMADATING way and Nascar would of stood behind Dale . punk boy Busch would have had his bell wrung a few times by Sr and he would be soo different . I love what Childress did and I think Nascar should thank him for the 3 hits ummmmm 3 always a GREAT NUMBER!!! maybe ma and Pa Busch should of paddled there son when he was young so he could show people respect as he sure don't do it now !!!! Give an official the finger then threaten to kill Denny hamlin and then go speeding when kids was around Hip Hip Horay for Richard Childress!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't agree more. None of this crap ruining NASCAR would be goin on.

RC should be dam proud of himself...and I guarantee he and his drivers got some new fans!

This is what NASCAR really wants. Look what is going on. Everybody is talking about this weekend. I only wish that Sr. was still here, Busch and some of the other younger drivers would not put up with Sr. Sr. was only a bully. I see a lot of Sr. in Busch today. Pay backs are bad, Busch is not finish with Childress and his drivers. The young drivers today would not put up with Sr. Mr. Smith said that he would pay any fines that came out of the NASCAR trailer at his track a few weeks ago, this is what this sport needs, not just a couple of drivers winning every week. All well just my 2 cents worth. I still do not chase after the races like I used to.

then if you say Sr was a bully then where does CAle Yarborough, Richard Petty, Bobby and Donnie Allison and David Pearson stand? Those guys put up with no BULL S@@T period and Bill France Sr ruled with an Iron fist you do it Bills way or hit the highway More fights back those garages them days then there is now and Dale all he had to do was INTIMADATE you and he did 7 cup championships worth Ugly Mug will never ever have one PERIOD!!!!!!!!

I'd pay twice that...Seriously, what is 150K to Childress? Where will Bush go now when Gibbs is forced to get rid of him? Childress was his only alli a few years ago when Hendrick axed him.

everyone hates he who is winning, early 200's, everyone hated gordon, right now everyone hates busch and 'ol 5-time. Can't blame you, it sucks watching the same guy win every week, but you have to look at KB's record and say he does drive the **** out of those cars/trucks. He does have what I call a "smoke" attitude which is basically he don't give a crappie, he's gonna do his thing and not care what others think, same as Sr. #3 was the best of all time but when he was younger in the mid 80's he was viewed the same, as some punk who did it his way and didn't care about the consequences. in 30 years everyone will say KB was one of the greats of all time.

I have seen alot of Nascar "stars" race at the local tracks. Some do pretty good, some are given the golden treatment to win(kenseth), some are terrible, and ONE DRIVER that makes the locals look foolish on their home tracks. The guy that makes everyone look foolish is Kyle Busch. If he ever gets settled down, he will make Jimmie Johnson and all others in Nascar look foolish too. He is pretty young yet, 25?, hopefully he can get calmed down. His talent is unbelievable.

I would have loved to see Dale Sr handle this problem, I think Mr Gibbs would have had a lot more cars to fix

Long live # 3. The only thing busch has going for him is the hot girlfriend and an owner willing to put up with his crap. Did michigan race for 15 yrs. No longer on the list. Only go to chicagoland cause they free tickets. I now spend more time at local track watching family lay down the rubber

Sure I hated Gordon and his cheezy @$$#d mustache in the mid 90's...but I didn't hate him because he was a jerk...I don't care how talented Kyle Busch is...he's a cocky arrogant jerk and no one likes him because he's just that. Sr woulda put the finger grip on his neck and told that boy what was what! I don't hate who's winning...I care about how they ACT when they're winning or losing.

And t-struck - don't forget Junior Johnson when you're gonna talk "bully" - and I don't think of them as bullies at all...they were MEN not puny little boys...who drove without power steering and none of this cooling suit, fire suit, AC'd helmets blah blah blah. Not poo-pooing the safety features of today...but back then? Those were some big @$$#d burly MEN!

very B@llsy men and thats what the sport was built on you had not been a pansy or your A@@ was grass in the garage area . Ugly Mug need to go see Martha Stewart to take a manner's classs cause he sure needs it Martha would probaly clean his clock to lol Junior Johnson Number 3 back in the day to and I would love to try some of his shine to :)

The “Richard Petty Driving Experience Canadian Summer Tour” will kick off on July 9th at Kawartha and includes eleven days on the aforementioned tracks over a nearly three week period, wrapping up at Riverside on July 24th. RPDE will offer the “Rookie Experience,” its signature driving program, and a “High-Speed Ride-Along”, which simulates a NASCAR qualifying run, in scheduled sessions during the tour.
