Hot Grip Question on a Skidoo

I have a question that I hope someone can help with. I need to replace the heated grips on my 2003 Grand Touring 500 sport Skidoo's. The stock grips are a three wire system with the yellow switch having Hi, Low and off setting positions. The Hot Grips kit Model 123 comes with a switch. I do not think I need the switch given that the machines already have a switch and are wired for heated grips. I think all I need to do is wire the new grip wires directly to the wires coming from the existing switch. Has anyone put these on a Skidoo that already has heated grips?

I have the hot grips model 123 on my 04 Rev. Have had them on it for about 5 years now with no problem. You do not have to use the switch as you can wire them and use the Doo switch on the sled.
