Houghton Lake

I was thinking about staying at the Super 8 in Houghton Lake. Does anyone know if I can ride to the trail from the hotel?

You would have to get to the lake and take the lake to the trails. You would be better off to stay somewhere on the lake.

Couple of options... (been years since I did any of them)

Head to the lake as suggested, go north or south. Have no idea how the ice is currently in the areas you would need to enter/exit so you would need local input.

Head towards the lake, use Harrison Rd (Old 27) to go North to Houghton Lake Rd. where it splits off east which may be more snow covered. The shoulder on Old 27 isn't always the best. Go North to Yeager and head West until you hit the trail West of 127.
