Here in Neenah we had 1 around 5:30 and as my Dad used to say, "colder than a well diggers butt" except he didn't say "butt".

I rode on New Years day in Burnett Co, WI and it was about -13 at the start in the late morning and the high temp that day was -5. It got down to -28 Sunday morning.
