How does the SLP pipe setup run at Low Elevation?

I was just wondering how the SLP setup runs at low elevation. I have been looking at them for a while now, and see that they now say the pipe is safe at low elevation. Thanks in advance.

I will say that this Saturday I got an ECU flash that was for det. protection. I actually shut down the machine and opened the hood to read what the code represented and then let things sit for a minute or two. I started it up and it ran fine the rest of the day. I was not running it too hard when the ECU error flashed either, and I did not notice a change in the engine performance either. It was getting very warm out (low 50's) when the flash occurred, so maybe that had something to do with things.

I don't know how much more riding I will be doing this season, but will be sure to keep an eye on things and watch for the ECU 23 error. I was running 91 octane and might just get me some octane boost or even just some higher octane fuel and keep it in a can an blend it just to be sure. You never know what you are getting at some of the pumps out there.

I guess the bottom line is, good so far.

I have also been considering an SLP pipe kit. I read conflicting things on Snowest and am still on the fence about it. If I do a pipe I'll definitely be getting a fuel pressure regulator. That seems to be the thing that is never the same from sled to sled.

Slp's are LOUD! You will get sick of it. Try the Straightline pipe and can kit. Way quieter yet light and actually a 2 HP gain.

It can't be any louder than my Ultra-Q (or what I think is a Super-Q) can. The SLP pipe kit is a 16hp gain. We are talking complete exhaust and not just the silencer.

SLP's are not loud. I have an SLP can on my 600, and the group we were riding with out in Tog were surprised to learn I had one on there. They thought it was stock.

If you guys want to hear loud you should hear my Super-Q. I ordered an Ultra-Q and think it is a Super. You should see all the looks I get. I am not happy with it being loud and can't wait to do the SLP setup.

Yea, t660redrocket, I think you might have SLP's mixed up with other aftermarket exhausts. Mine is not much louder at all than stock and I believe they make them to fit within most states regulations.

I actually am not a fan of loud exhausts and tried the Ultra Q and decided it was not for me. Not really loud, but was too much for me.

Or maybe old SLP exhausts were loud, but even the one on my 800 RMK was not much louder at all than stock.

It is the oval one. The super q is basically just a glass pack.

Yes, I must be mixed up or thinking of the old SLP's. Sorry fellas.

All I know is that I have a really obnoxious sno-stuff can on mine and I absolutely hate it! I'm going with the Straightline Performance can myself. They are barely louder than stock. Probably very similar to your SLP's.

I appreciate the dialogue!

Hey t660redrocket I am pretty sure the SLP is Straight Line Performance?? Anyone Chime in and back me on this?? If anybody needs a SLP can for a Ski Doo Rev 800 let me know, i got one for sale!
