Between Thur and Friday, did about 500 miles on the sled in the UP, including about 3 hours of boon-docking. Coming out of one of the loops near Fredia on Thursday night around 6 pm, I bet we needed to wait 10 minutes before we could safely enter the Bill Nicoles trail and head north due to traffic. Now mind you, the sleds are moving at a great rate of speed there, but I have never seen so much traffic. There is no way the trails can stay in good condition with the amount of sleds, and lack of new snow in any part of WI or MI as far as I am concerned. This reminds me of 4 or 5 years ago. Grab the snow, and there is no base left to it, just like surgar. Not many areas in the upper Midwest with snow, and then no new snow, and a ton of riders. Simply equals rough trails.
