Hurley Area Snow Report, Tuesday January 8 2019 Snowmobile Trail Conditions are improving, the melt down yesterday and cold temps overnight helped with the base. Groomers are out today and things are improving. And it’s snowing right now!!!!!
White Thunder Riders is in charge of 130 miles of trails in Northern Iron County. Of that, 100 miles are considered GOOD; 15 miles are FAIR; the remaining 15 miles are FAIR to POOR.
Mercer is reporting good conditions with some wet areas. Gogebic Range Trail Authority reports that they will be out grooming today.
Whitecap Mountain Resort has a base of 14 - 26 inches with 43 runs open. All chairlifts, 3 mountains are open for skiing. Snowmobilers are welcome via Trail 6, Whitecap Mountain Resort has a bar/ grill/ cafeteria to enjoy.
