❄️❄️Hurley Area Snow Report Monday, February 25, ‘19

With new snowfall amounts of 16” + the White Thunder Riders are out rolling the trails today to get them back in tip top shape. CAUTION is stressed by the club as they do what it takes to push back snow on the road crossings, flatten the new snow in order to bring the drags back out for grooming. We cannot stress enough the importance of STAYING ON THE TRAIL!!!!

Groomers will be out working today and tomorrow, they expect to have the WTR trail system back in EXCELLENT shape by late tomorrow. Temps today are forecast for a high of 5 degrees, Tuesday and Wednesday are low teens. Another storm is predicted for Thursday.

Now is the time to visit Hurley, the best place to start your next winter adventure!!
There are 34 days left in the 2018-19 snowmobile riding season and Hurley has THE best trails around.

Whitecap Mountain Resort is open with an Ice-Bar, Wine Hut and Green Room all serving beverages. Food is available in the Green Room. Snowmobilers are welcome via Trail 6, Stop in the Hotel for information.

Continue to support the White Thunder Riders and buy your 50/50 raffle tickets. Mark your calendar and be at Joany’s Sidekicks on Saturday, March 30 for a meat raffle fundraiser.

Riders please RESPECT our landowners. Follow GROOMED trails, not snowmobile tracks. STAY on MARKED trails. When in doubt, turn around.

Ride RIGHT. Ride SAFE. STAY together.

Great job Thunder. We saw the roller on 15 north of island lake. Then went west to Upson. (77). Then 7 up to 2 to Saxon Harbor. Saw the groomer twice. The whitecaps were awesome. Perfectly groomed. Came back down to check out the bomber memorial on 13. It hadn’t been touched. Looked like 1 group of sleds beat us there. It was a blast. So deep. I rank the trails best ever after the groomers hit them.
