Hurley Area Snow Report Thursday December 12, 2019Currently snow is falling in the Hurley area and the trails are in the best early season riding in years.
White Thunder Riders have been out grooming and busting up low areas to keep trails in top condition. Iron County Forestry Department has been out as well. Keep in mind, conditions are early season and riders may encounter some wet areas. Use caution.
At this time, Trail 160 from Saxon Harbor east to Michigan is CLOSED.
The following closings are still in effect:
Trail 8 - West Branch Road to Snake Track Road (closed from Trail 15 going west on Trail 8 to Trail 77) approximately 3 miles
Trail 13 – South Island Lake Rd to 310 Road. Approximately 6 miles.
**Pick up a 2019-20 Iron County Trail Map for an accurate guide while riding.**
A few things to remember...Three of our border Counties - Vilas, Ashland and Price are NOT open yet, Gogebic Co MI is open. Early season conditions exist even with all the snow. ICE IS NOT SAFE. Please stay off of the lakes and flowages.
Riders please RESPECT our landowners. Follow GROOMED trails, not snowmobile tracks. STAY on MARKED trails. When in doubt, turn around.
