Do you follow hurricanes intently? Do you have time, or do your normal forecasting responsibilities and the site work put limits on your professional interest?
I do have to follow the Hurricanes for many of my customers and even though they occur in a tropical environment, I do find them to be more interesting than your everyday thunderstorm or even severe weather.
