This new process for treating metal surfaces with lasers is going to be a game changer. Say good by to Teflon for starters.
The metal actually repels water. Drops of water bounce on it. Never seen any thing like it.

you hit that nail on the head !!! Laser can do lots of stuff but not cost effective needs lots of maintenance to keep online

Depends on what you do with the laser. We have three different machines that we use for etching metal and foam, and they are crazy cost effective.
You have the depreciation on the equipment, but so far the maintenance has been negligable and the cost per piece is very low, because they cycle time is extremely fast.
